You can’t just plant seeds and expect them to grow; it just isn’t going to work. You really need to make sure that you have managed your time and that you know what you need to do. You are going to have to spend time depending on what you have planted, if you don’t, you are going to be disappointed by what is going to grow. There are weeds that need to be pulled, plants that need to be watered and items that need to be tended to. Understand what you need to do and make the best of it.
Do Plant your Garden Close to your House
With your garden, you want to make sure that you are planting it close to your house. If it is too far away it just isn’t going to work. It will be a lot easier for you to care for if you do this, it will also be a lot easier for you to do it because it is right there. The other thing si that you can watch to see if critters are getting into it, critters can destroy your garden and they can eat everything in it, so you want to make sure that you can watch them.
Don’t Leave your Garden Open
As listed in the last item, you don’t want to leave your garden exposed for many reasons. Pets can run through the garden and destroy it, other animals can get into it and eat it, and squirrels can uproot items, and so on. You want to put some sort of protection around your garden like a fence, even a simple fence that is made of chicken wire or a mesh will do, it doesn’t have to be anything fancy.
Don’t Plant Vegetables that Don’t Grow in your Area
Know what you are working with, you don’t want to plant vegetables that aren’t going to grow; it just isn’t going to work. You want to plant vegetables that are going to flourish, that is going to make your life so much easier. Research what is good for your area, have your soil tested, and really understand what it is going to take to make your garden a success. If you don’t think it can grow in your climate, it probably can’t.
